Date & Clock problem in vista - help required

Right off the assembly line
recently purchased a Toshiba Satellte A100 Centrino Duo 1.86GHz, 1GB Ram 120GB HDD preloaded with Vista Home Basic. Right from day one the clock doesn,t show the correct time after cold start. It shows the time at the previous shutdown. what might be the problem

the battery cld be dead very slight chance of dat cause its new
cld be also due to wrong timezone set it to
GMT+05.30
to do this
right click on the clock->Adjust Date/Time->Time Zone Tab->GMT+05.30

almost the same in Vista(I Suppose)
u can do the same by gng to the control panel ->date and time->Time Zone Tab->GMT+05.30

the same had been tried repeatedly to no success. the problem persists. is there any report of such probs for Vista. haven't checked battery. inform if u have any other options. thnx
