I want to place link to 'My Videos' folder in start menu(not in classic start menu) in windows xp, without removing any of the items there. I also want to move the special folders viz. My Music, My Pictures and My Videos to different locations( I am not asking to move My Documents becoz I can do that).

I also want to move 'Users' folder which is in C:\ to different location in windows vista.

Thankx in advance.

Very simple:
1. Right click on any of your folder which you want to add in start menu and choose create shortcut option.
2. copy this shortcut.
3. Now follow this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Amir S\Start Menu\Programs
Here Amirs is The default user on which i log in my system.
for all the users you can follow this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs
4. Now paste the shortcut here.
5. Open your start menu and access your desired folder.
joy.

Legen-wait for it-dary!
^^ That, or just drag the folder to the start menu. Hold the mouse on the menu for it to pop up and release it wherever you want it to be.

For moving the folders, use TweakUI for XP and TweakVI for vista.

TweakUI: *www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx
TweakVI: *www.totalidea.com/content/tweakvi/tweakvi-index.php

If you are gonna reinstall windows, use nLite for XP or vLite for Vista to customize the paths to be installed.

nLite: www.nliteos.com
vLite: www.vlite.net

Thanx for the reply but i want to place my videos on the right hand side of the start
menu(somewhere in between my music, my pictures, my documents and my computer) not under Start menu>All Programs.

I am using win xp and i have already used Tweak UI but it doesn't help
as for your second solution, I don't want to reinstall my OS now.
