I guess its CRT for richness of dispay and contrast, which is wat u need for eye-candy in games...
otherwise i wud prefer a LCD (had i been a non-gamer)

What kind of resolution do you have on the 19"??

Iam currently using a dell 9300 laptop and am getting resolutions of upto 1900x1200, its quite rocking but at the moment i use a 1600x1200 wide screen aspect resolution.

With a LCD, you are stuck at playing at the native resolution or having blurry graphics.

Could you please elaborate that a bit more? especially the native resolution part.... :? :?

the problem with the 1900x1200 resolution is that u wont find many desktop wallpaper splendid at this resolution. Like Rohan said, u have to stay at lesser resolution.

fo desktop, LCD is fine. But if u have a little tight budget, i prefer to go got CRT and spend the saved amount in getting other gaming stuffs, like graphics card and all. I really dint find it VFM.
