If u have linux u can create PDF file for free with just a click on a button and export the file as a PDF. This is possible in Scribus text-editor & openoffice .

In windows we can create PDF using custom softwares like Jaws PDF , Acrobat Writer , and win2pdf etc.

For download links of custom softwares pm me

Even in Windows, you can use OpenOffice to make PDF files. OpenOffice is also available for Windows :)

Why not use PDF Creator. It becomes a virtual printer and when you give the command for printing a document, spreadsheet, images or presentations, etc. and choose the printer of PDFCreator (after installation), the PDF is made instantly. FOr any kind of file PDF is possible. IT can be found on the UBUNTU Live CD 401 (for Windows) or download it form the net by Googling..
