CPU overheating

hello friends, today as i was going to start my pc it refused to start . all i got was to consecutive beeps . this occured everytime i tried. but once the computer managed to start and gave the message that the cpu has overheated.

But i found that the cpu was perfectly cool as the pc was switched off all the night. the fan is also working. please help.

Manage to turn ur PC on untill it shows the warning. Stutdown immediately nd detach the power cable from back of PSU. Then try touching the CPU heatsink with your hand. Dun worry unless u touch any circuits. Just touch the alluminium part nd see if it is too hot.
If no then there is something wrong with your temp sensor on mobo or proc. Call a technitian.
