Ans:NO

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Need a complete new CPU only.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:within one week.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:Yes i have built.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?

Not clear to me. Mention specifically about the components needed like processor, motherboard, Ram, HDD, PSU or SMPS, Cabinet etc. Are you trying to convey all of these components by CPU?

he wants the system without the extra stuff like monitor, keyboard, speaker, etc. thats what he meant to say.

@thetechfreak,why lynx when they don't have a relatively good reputation?in fact in my opinion lynx should be the last option to buy anything when there are lots of better options like flipkart, itwares, deltapage, itbazaar etc.

Processor|phenom II X4 955BE|6500
Motherboard|Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3(rev. 3.1)|4800
Ram|Gskill NT DDR3 4 GB PC RAM (F3-10600CL9S-4GBNT)|1200
Hard Disk|250gb WD or seagate|3800
dvd drive|LG dvd rw sata|920
PSU|FSP saga II 500W|2300
Cabinet|any generic/cheap cabinet with front,side & rear fan option|1300

total:20820

you can get a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P (rev 3.1) for 2700 but note that you must get rev 3.1 & not rev 4.0(newer but lower quality)because rev 4.0 support lesser no. of processors & 955BE might not be supported by rev 4.0 but it is supported by rev 3.1.

Friend, Just used it to recommend prices of stuff. no one asked him to buy. It was only used FOR PRICE REFERNCE.

^^ Try adding 5% tax over the Lynx-india's price. Sites like SMC, Deltapage or the itwares advertise their products inclusive of tax whereas Lynx prices are exclusive of tax.

^^ moreover carrying charge extra. though ITWares also charge extra but the charge is given on the page itself.

@thetechfreak,besides the reason posted by cilus & sam above you should give even reference links of prices from those sites considered trustworthy & good by most.it is just good & ethical practice.:)

which processor would be better Intel core I3-530 or AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE.
Prices are same. I dnt know much about these things but some of friends were saying that there is heating problem with AMD processors..

actually he is right. its not the processor fault. some of the HSF bundled with AMD Phenom II X4 are of bad build maybe. if you google it you'll come across HSF making lot of sound. though this is not common but this has happened. but the original i3 is again crap with no upgrade option.

I've got i5-2500K and it had heating problem. HSF's fault. Even I had to buy a new CPU cooler.

RAM- Corsair vengeance @ rs1650
HDD- 250gb Seagate @ rs3800
PSU- FSP Saga II 500W @Rs.2200
Case- Zebronics Bijli @Rs.1200
ODD- ASUS 24X Sata Black DVD @Rs.1100

but i am still confused about processor and motherboard.

Processor- intel i3 2100 or AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE. Prices are same for both. I have to use my system for analysis(structural & CFD) of very large models of aircrafts.

Suggest a motherboard which can support upto 32 gb RAM.

i3 is a Dual core and has 4 threads but on the other hand Phenom II X4 965 BE is a True Quad core processor and for the work what u said i.e. is
I have to use my system for analysis(structural & CFD) of very large models of aircrafts.
i think a true qud is better

Ans: Mainly for analysis(structural & CFD) of very large models.

After your requirement, I did a little research about CFD applications Computational Fluid Dynamics and found out that both the free and the commercial sofware used for it are actually very highly multi-threaded and multi-core optimized. In other words, more the number of cores in a processor, more the performance is. Now i5 2400 has better architecture over Phenom II series. But Phenom II X6 six core processors are actually my recommendation here due to its lesser price, extra two cores and marginally better multi-threaded performance. Checked the performance of ANSYS CFX software and it is favorable to AMD 6 cores. For better understanding please let us know the name of the software you're using.

So her is my suggestion based on the analysis:-

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T (3.2 GHz, 6 Cores, 3 MB L2 CAche, 6 MB L3 Cache) @ 8.8K
Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 @ 4.8K
G-skil RipjawX 1600 MHz 4GB X1 @ 1.5K

Intel Core i5 2400 is around 11K and Intel DH67BL is around 5K. Get this combo if you're Intel fanboy.

+1 for Phenom II X6 but instead of a 1090T get a 1055T save and invest in a 6+2 or 8+2 phases motherboard a M5A97 is a minimum u should go with the current prices of M5A97 is around 6.2k
so it like
Phenom II X6 1055T 7.8k
Asus M5A97 6.2k
G.Skill 4GB RipJawX 1600Mhz 1.5k
Corsair Cx430V2 2.2k
NZXT Gamma 2.2k
HDD 1TB 5.7k
but that gets to ~25k
u can cut on the Cabinet and go for a intex or something local if u want

and if u can grab this offer or i dont know what to say 1.5 TB SeaGate HDD @ 4.5k
