cpu fan

my cpu fan has started making a lot of noise. I have formatted my entire hard disk but to no avail. Any suggestions, advice ?

you formatted your HDD for cpu fan. :O
Just geta a brush and brush the dust off. A new fan may be helpful

if ur CPU fan is making noise..what is the connection with HDD.....or u were thinking noise is frm HDD and hence formated it??

Just clean ur CPU fan with brush ( when it is off

).....

Or u want permanent solution...just search for thread abt CPU fan in TUTORIAL section

Clean the fan and screw the fan on the heat sink tightly...if its lose, it vibrates hence you get that sound..

If the fan on the heat sink is loose it won't vibrate, it'll develop an air bubble and the system will crash due to thermal overheating.
