conversion of vcd to avi files

i hav a lot of vcd originals, I want to convert them to avi files like how we convert the dvd's, is there any software that can do this. also can the software compress these files.

u can use...Virtualdub,xvid(video codec),lame mp3 codec(audio codec).....

goto www.doom9.org and...dload softeis...get tutorials for VDUB...and u r done...

try it for small files..then u will get for big one...ok?

Hello Friend my Best Suggestion is Use VCD Ripper which will automatically convert to AVI and the Size of the file will be decreased and the Quality will be the same. Please dont Use DIVX which will reduce the quality of the Picture. You can use the software VCD to AVI converter available in the www.download.com
