Connecting Laptop And PC

I want to connect my laptop to my pc through LAN. I've the wire which is required but still I'm unable to connect them.. Can anyone help????

I hope you have cross cable with you. All you need to do is attach the cables into both the ethernet card slots, assign then IP addresses and try to ping both from each other.

Hey.....do you Climp the both side of the wire with RJ-45 Sockets.....

If you do all this......then you need to just assign IP Address of Both PC's Ethernet Cards Properities.....and try to ping each other....and thats all.

Or you need to say more details of your problem.
