can one connect to the net using a reliance phone in red hat 9 ???
I dont think so, but you can try, and you`ll have to install lots of rpm and maybe that wont work to, the best is upgrade it to Fedora Core 3, and it will be much easier!
Yes, I am currently using Reliance Phone to connect to the Internet in LINUX.
If you need it............
Hope the link is useful
i checked ur link, i'm new to linux (2 days) & am totally confused is there an easier way or will i'll have to some R&D.
Give some time to get familiar with this new OS and then try connecting to net. That delhi lug's wiki is quite complete with respect to getting started with Reliance's FWP... give some time to read those pages.
i tried the link given by naveenchandran, extracted the required files but could not find the file 'sh install.sh', there's a file 'install.sh', but when i run that nothing happens. what am i supposed to do?
escape7 plz tell the model of reliance phone you are using (fixed wireless or wireless) ( Lg or Samsung ) First
and also Serial port or USB?
well i'm using samsung NCH N-191(mobile) using a USB cable.
sh install.sh is not any file, it is a command that you use to execute the shell script install.sh. to do this, open the terminal, cd to the folder you have extracted and type the command.that would do it.
I do think you will have to manually configure for that model. Follow the steps given in that link.
