Configuring WinModems in Linux

    I want to configure WinModem (D-Link Internal Data/Fax.... Modem) in Fedora Core 1

    Its a pain as the driver for ful 56k is not free the driver available is limited to 14.4k so i suggest that go for an external modem. if you want to setup the internal one then download the covexent driver and install it. same way as usual

    ./configure
    make
    sudo make install

    now do a wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
    and connect to the net by wvdial
    before that set the DNS Ip in /etc/resolve.
