CD Drive Missing in Device Management Applet

no cd-rom is seen in the my computer panel and also in device manager... i had alos tried by adding new hardware option , but it didnt work. wat to do??????????????

Did u google? I faced this situation...and my answer through google! I guess there are two registry keys that u have to delete and then restart!
Search for it!

Try to install the dosbase cd-rom Driver which is come with cdrw of samsung.

try assigning it a drive letter 4m diskmgmt.msc
