Case for 80GB IDE HDD + 1TB HDD

I have 80GB IDE HDD...I want to make it External.

What should I consider before buying case ??
Is it possible to make USB HDD (No external Power) ?


Also...Suggest me 1TB SATA (3gb) HDD

--> WD Black or Seagate

I think cases require external power.

Regarding an internal HDD, get any. Both WD and Seagate are same with people facing problems and praising both.

USB cases are available that use a second USB port to draw power from the computer.

About HD, WD black are quite expensive. Almost twice the price of Seagate.

^^ yup. 1 USB for data transfer & 2nd for power.

BTW, i have 3 extra pata HDDs & want convert 2 of them to external. anyone know any online portal that sells these casing?
