can't play media files in browser

    hi all i am posting after a very long time. anyways it seems that media files are not playing in firefox or ie for that matter on my comp. whenever i click on the play link it loads and then doesn't play anything. pls help!

    In Internet Explorer Options, Ensure Play videos in web pages is ticked. (Refer Attached Pic). Look for similar option in firefox.

    Just check your security settings in IE. Have you allowes Active X & plug-ins to run ?

    Check if the media plays in other media player. If it dosen't then media is corrupt or you don't have necessary codecs.

    Also try this method....

    In IE Click View > Explorer Bar > Media.
    In the media options on the media bar, Ckick Settings > Play web media in media bar.

    If ur talkin about flash files then better install the latest version of flash..
    for other files the codecs or plugins must be missin/....

    sorry its still not working!? i checked the active x settings too. they r fine.
