cant buy my first car in nfs underground 1, please help

in nfs underground 1, underground mode i cant buy the car after winning the first race, i will be presented a list of cars and i have $10,000 in bank but i just cant buy the car and hence cant progress.......anyone please help...

after i finish the first mission in "go underground" mode, i will be presented a list of cars but there is no option to buy, but i have to buy to advance in the underground mode, and i only option i have is to quit and i cant move to the next race. anyway i dowloaded a savegame editor and moved to the second mission, now i can progress in the game. is there any fix to the problem i was facing?

ofcourse there is....go to the garage..and then to new cars section..u can buy fom there...

one more thing...r u sure ur copy is not a demo or something??
