CAN'T ACCESS YAHOO MESSENGER ROOMS

    I HAVE 5 COMPUTERS . I AM USING WIN 98 OPERATING SYSTEM . THE PROBLEM IS THAT IN THE LAN MACHINES YAHOO MESSENGER ROOMS ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE. YAHOO MESEENGERIS LOGGE OUT.

    CAN ANYBODY HELP ME IN THIS CONTEXT, PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

    You must be behind a firewall. Chat rooms require another port, it seems. I am also not able to do it. Since my company allows only http traffic. the ordinary messaging works fine on setting proxy settings but chatrooms don't work.

    If i am confusing you with this post, please ignore it.

    Ensure that you have the Indian version of yahoo IM installed, not the US or intl version... I had the same problem until I switched to the Indian version.

    i have got indian version and it still doesn't allow chat rooms.

    everybody here is the answer yahoo is protecting privacy so if ur bdate is less than 18 u cant enter the chatroom so make a new id and remember to quote the age above 18

    no special indian version needed,international will do i myself have solved the problem
