    Hi all,
I know only this:- some graphics cards simply can not utilize the large 256 onboard video memory efficiently. My question is then what decides the capability of graphics card to utilize vid ram efficiently? is it vid Memory speed or the core speed?
I am also thinking of buying ONE LAST UPGRADE for my antique [8x AGP ] motherboard of XFX/Gigabit 6600 GT AGP card. And I can't really decide between 128mb and 256 mb version. Please help

it's just a myth, low end and medium cards r uncapable of taking advantage of more memory.in case of high end cards, memory matters.more memory speed helps in performing better gameplay at high resolution and more core helps in running at high AA levels.

Well right now the 128mb card gives the same perfomance as the 256mb card.
But, anyway get the 256mb card coz in future u might get a big advantage when proper drivers extract the advantage of the extra 128mb.
