can i backup norton internet security updates..

    i installed norton internet security 2005 frm my mobo cd.
    liveupdate ran on first use and updated the various programs in the suite.

    now since i'm on a limited dwnld bb connection, i wouldnt like it to update each time i reinstall norton..
    is there any way tht i can backup the defn files and updates for future use..
    plz help!!!

    I'm not sure, but the Symantec Definition Files( virus information ) are normally stored in this folder:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs

    You can backup the files here or the entire folder, then just restore it when you reinstall.
