Can anyone please tell the method of having the shutdown,logoff,restart & hibernate buttons on the desktop??
imp:without the help of any third party software.

Conversation Architect
First right click on desktop and choose shortcut then in location type as follows:

For Shutdown use:
shutdown -s -t 01

For Restart use:
shutdown -r -t 01

Give any icon to it.The (01) in the command is the time after which the process starts.You can set it to any number(in seconds)

I don't know hibernate & logoff .
