can anyone help me with shutdown virus...........

hi guyz ,
from 3 days my system is suffering from shutdown virus a box appears sayin "your system is shuttin down in 60 secs plz save all the unsaved work" . i tried many antivirus softs n firewalls even formatted the hard disk twice , but still its pesterin me . plz suggest me a solution for my probs as my system is brought to knees by this .

it could be the lovesan or blaster or sasser virus.

first run your virus scan (avast) at boot time or safe mode using deep-scan modes.

then download and use the latest sasser removal tool and sasser fixer tool (microsoft/symantec).

then patch up your pc with KB835732 patch.

use zone alarm firewall, when on the net. take windows updates or run the latest autopatcherxp..

its the same that happened with me. In my case it was blaster playing with RPC. Try using any good Antivirus with latest signature updates. Also, you should try to keep yr system uptodate.
