C2D E8400 is better than Quad core.
In GFX card go for ATI card for sure.

I got my rig last saturday (after many inputs from many posters here in this forum) and tell you i'm not regretting a single component.
Check my signature.

Y so?
it's proper, add/subtract 300 for brands.

And if you order online, then u'll hav to add more.

no its not cos the price u are quoting is wrong its not available at that price anywhere ...and in which online shop u saw that ????

itwares - its 9750/- min + shipping!
lynx india its 9400/- min

so actually even 500/- rupees matter for people like me ...i don't know about u ...but it matters for almost everybody !

Lynx India it's Rs.8800, add vat and shipping to 9.5k

Now if u r gonna buy from vendor, subtract shipping, and walla, 9.1-9.2k

If you want to spend 60+ above in gaming better buy X360 Elite for 30K and PS3 for 25K.
This way you can play every console games (except Wii exclusive but very few are there)

How about that ? ;-)

For Gaming E8400 takes the lead undoubtedly, better to get E8500 at 0.8k more.

Q6600 is a 65nm old CPU and outdated, its 8mb cache and 4 cores help in stuff like rendering and compression but not gaming where pure clock speeds take control.

Also E8400/E8500 being 45nm can be overclocked beyond 4GHz at Air-Cooling alone (Custom CPU cooler).

30-35k for CPU:shock::shock:, won't work, they will be bottlenecked by memory, need to get DDR3 memory(4GB least) then, also a 64bit OS to handle the RAM, HD4870/GTX280 to get the max performance out.
Just give up (Or get least 80k total budget).

I think by 35k for processor he means 35k for whole CPU.;)

1. E8400 @ 7500
2. MSI P45 NEO-F@ 6000
3. Transcend 2GB 800Mhz @ 1800
4. CM 500W/600 or Corsair 450W @ 3000
5. GFX Card : Palit HD 4850 @ 9500
6. Cabinet : Zebronics Bizli/lava @ 1400
7. Hard Disk: WD 640GB @ 3600
8. Speaker Creative SBS 2.1 @ 1200
9. Keyboard/mouse Logitech/microsoft 700

Total Cost: 34700
now I think you will get these things a bit cheaper then mentioned.

If you want a total gaming machine then the components red font are must don't go less then this.

Ohhh, got confused:confused:

Its a good config, might I suggest a ASUS P5Q Pro mobo at 8.5k(2 PCIe x16 slots CrossfireX ready/1 PCIe 2.0 x16 slot and latest P45 65nm chipset from Intel with a hoard of connectors and a beast of a overclocker)
OR ASUS P5Q at 7.5k(1 PCIe 2.0 x16 slot and all other P5Q Pro features)

Look:- 1.ASUS P5Q Pro:- *in.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=709&l4=0&model=2269&modelmenu=1

2.ASUS P5Q:- *in.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=709&l4=0&model=2164&modelmenu=1

For Speaker Get Altec Lansing 121i at 1.2k(From personal experiance its better than the Creative ones)

CM500W- Absolutely not, go for VX450W(Max Efficiency)

The Sonics are selling like hot cakes these days, hard to find one. My friend tried for a month and gave up, so as a alternative I suggest the Saphire HD4850:)
