Budget HTPC

Hi..i want to build a budget HTPC. My budget is 7000. Only suggest cpu,motherboard,ram and graphics...everything else i hv. Please reply as soon as possible.

ASUS P5GCMX (has onboard grafix)
1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM

-->Totals to exactly 6000/-

And there are cheap grafix card available like XFX 7200GS 256MB for 1300/-. You can buy if you wish to but onboard will be enough IMHO.

1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM

--> Totals to 5875/-

For the grafix, my suggestion remains the same.

Actually the Intel config I gave performs better than this as it has E2160 BUT yours has a G31 IGP which is better than 945 IGP .

For AMD, get atleast Zotac GF8200 for 3.4K if you want HD video decoding. I doubt your 6150 can do HD.

Yes...and 2140 can be upped(OCed) to 2GHz easily(if not 2.5GHz) even by a newbie..

so aftr that..onboard sloution dependent
