I have BSNL Home500 connection. When i try to dwnld anything from torrents, i get very slow speed. I am using netgear router DG834G, i know i need to port forward to increase the download speed. I set the port start range from 25231 to 25350 and service type as TCP/UDP.

I set the "set to lan server" as 192.168.0.2 as it shows my laptop address in connected device in router configuration, still i am getting slow speed while downloading. I get dwld speed upto 10kbps only:mad:.

Please help me to set correct portforwarding for this router.
Please correct me if i am doing something wrong while doing port forwarding.

Thanks in advance. I got dwnld speed upto 300kbps in IDM.

I Always Prefer 1080p
Which torrent client are you using ?
Have you enabled Windows Firewall or any third party firewall ?

Try utorrent. In Ubuntu, open a terminal and type service iptables stop. This will stop the firewall working inside Ubuntu.
