Hi,

Is it a good option to buy the broadband modem provided by BSNL ? I mean later if I want to switch provider can I use the same modem or are these all are service provider specific ?

Anybody tried using it before ?

Yes, and probably this is the cheapest option :)

ADSL is a standard! In Fact, Modems provided by other ISPs use the same Broadcom Chip (and the same firmware!), So you'll not have any issues!

If you are that much concerned, buy a Dlink one separately from computer stores (GLB-502T?), It'll work with every ADSL ISP there is.
