what kinda boot disks do u want boss ?
    there are dos boot disks
    widows boot disks
then there are boot images on the bootable CD's of OS's
then there is BART'S PE which is a Preinstalled environment
u can boot into it .. and its lkie a live WINDOWS CD ..
u can work there and fix ur problems
ocourse we have LIVE linux distros as well

for more info on barts pe see here
    http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/

boto disks are whats used to BOOT ur comptuer
ur os also has BOOT files ... which help u BOOT UP

the files are diff for different OS's
a disk with the BOOT files is called a BOOT DISK

make a backup of ur registry
    then when ur in trouble
boot into safe mode and restore ur pc
better yet set a restore point
and when ur in trouble goto safe mode and run system restore and restore ur comp to that workin date

u couldve just posted ur problem .. would've been easier for us to help u out
