Boot Disk Failure

Right off the assembly line
I have 2 problems
1) Whin I try to boot sometimes it shows 'BOOT DISK FAILURE' If i restart it again sometimes it work fine what is the problem

is this the problem with the cabel or with my hard disk
When i installed HDDlife it shows 100% for SAMSUNG SV4012H (Master) and only 70% for SAMSUNG SP0411N (Slave) and the error

mostly occurs in SAMSUNG SP0411N (Slave).

2) Windows Xp in SAMSUNG SV4012H (Master) does not reads DVD disk but all other oprating Systems read even Windows Xp in

SAMSUNG SP0411N (Slave). How could I solve this.

for the boot disk error, maybe ur slave HDD has some bad sectors

and for the dvd problem, maybe a dvd decoder is not installed in dat o/s....dload and install one...u can find it for free in the klite codec pack

It seems to me that your hard disk is on its way out. Try going to the BiOs setup and check to see if the post recognizes your hard disks or not the next time an error like this occurs.
You can check it by going to the option of changing the boot sequence.

Can you tell me what error message you get besides the message indicated? Any beeps? Blue screen crashes while running windows?
