Got my BB Bold yesterday,07OCt08 from Airtel Outlet for 34,990.(Available in select places,?artificially created Demand!)
Nicely packed,manufactured in Hungary (date:13 Sep 08)
Cute stereo headset with 'plug-in' headset,1GB mem card+ and with usual accessories.
"Sync Cradle" is surprisingly MISSING! (seen in other countries pack)
Cute,clear screen,fast processor,slightly gritty 'track ball'.
"Matt" finish back cover which enables 'Grip'py feel of the phone! (in contrast to iphone 3G which has soo...smooth shinyyy surface with a 'slip'pery feel !)
Packed with OS 4.6.0126 (Surprisingly Airtel supports BIS 2.5 and beutiful HTML emails)
Keypad is smooth with soft touch,WOW!!!
Browsing is fast,better than previous bbs,Wi-Fi works very well,
Battery is reasonably good even with continuous wifi!
Cam is simple,good and vid captures are ok,
Installed 'Yahoo Messenger & iSkoot for Skype',
NOW,
on the negative side,
* only 2 preinstalled themes,
* every time 'get images' for mails and
* memory leak appears more than previous bbs,need OS upgrade!
Overall, a gr8 device,must for all BB lovers!
(Comparing 'Bold' with iphone 3G: iphone has a really 'big' screen with 'touch'y effects,ideal for multimedia lovers but Bold for true 'Business' magnets with 'to the precise point' people who enjoy multimedia occasionally!)
