i use norton antivirus 2005 but that should not be a problem as i could download 7.6%.no other firewall is used.

the announe url is :*urahoot.com:6969/announce (what is announce url).....

uhmmm....
I think peers i.e. users r gone, so u r downloading is stucked.
Always before downloading any torrent check seeders and leechers. If torrent is healthy then only download it.
Try other healthy torrent and check whether same problem is occuring or not !!

There may be various reasons for the problem, but the most possible may be the torrent doesn't have enough seeders( people who have the whole file on their pc).

Check the Seeds/peers field for your torrent & ensure that it is always 1/x or >1/x( x because there can be many peers but no seeders)

If its not, then try enabling DHT in the Options for Bittorrent

This way, you'll have a greater chance of getting more seeders.

If you still dont get any seeders, remove the torrent & try searching for another torrent with better seeds/peers ratio. There may be many torrents having the same file.

Savvy :!:

hey cyborg, tell me a few things first:

1) which OS r u using?

2) what type of connection r u using?

3) how many peers r showing connected in bittorrent,
& what is the percentage of their download.

if it is the same percentage as u, u got the answer to
ur prob.

 i wud recommend using utorrent, its small in size &
doesn't need to be installed like bittorrent. Plus has more
features & is easy to use.
Enable DHT if u r using XP.
Check to see if the tracker is showing link as dead.

HAPPY DOWNLOADING till next time
