Asus A8N-E Rs. 5500
Athlon64 3200+ Rs. 4500

This mobo will give better results while overclocking compared to the A8N-VM CSM. Keep in mind that it does not have integrated graphics but in every other way its better than the A8N-VM CSM.

AMD 64 3200 Venice + Asus A8N E + Good after market cooling, overclock the CPU and make it as fast as a 4000 Clawhammer or faster, maybe upto FX55!

I had a p42.8ht with intel 865gbf. Processor burnt out after a lot of overheating issues. Will the amd 64bit 3500 match the 2.8ht in speed and performance? What abt overheating issues with amd?

Will beat it in almost anything or will be just about as good for somethings if not better.

Did you have a prescott?

AMD doesn't have heating issues but nor should any CPU barring prescott and if it has then it also means that it can take close to those temps

Well.....the 3500+ will surely out perform u r old 2.8......and a 3000+ also comes in competition with da 3GHz....intel....prescott......

The prescott is too hot for india! :D......well....if u get a Venice then it will not even go above 50* unless u choke it!.. :D.....the stock AMD cooler is gr8...for overclocking also...

for photoshop or something like that, sometimes some 3.0Ghz>AMd 64 3500, however probably practically unnoticeable.
