Best Config Under Rs. 40,000

My dad has decided to get me a new computer for Rs.40000 :)

So Please help me in building my new system...

Here are my requirements :-

* It should be future proofing.
* I should be able to play all latest games.
* Its speed should be fast while working with multiple office documents, multimedia applications etc..
* It should be able to perform multiple task at same time :)

n all other basic requirements.. tats it...

1> Athlon 64 X2 3600+ Rs 5600
2> ASUS M2NPV-MX Rs4300
3> KINGSTON 2 X 512 MB Rs 2 X 2900
4> ATI X1600XT Rs 5500 / 256 MB NVIDIA GF 7600 GS DDR3 Rs5800 ( I came to know that if we have onboard ati then it conflicts with Nvidia cards n vice versa so two options)
5> Sony/HP/Liteon DVD RW Rs 2150/2200/1950
6> 300 GB SATA Rs4300
7> Cabinet your choice
8> minimum of 500 w SMPS
9> SAMSUNG 17" FLAT 798MB Rs5700

This sums upto 37k+ so u are left with about 2.5K for your Cabinet+PSU+Keyboard+mouse cost.

Well u can definitely splash in a few hundred bucks more........for thekeyboard n mouse.....

This config will let you do multitasking, gaming n everything u want to do

hey my uncle also needs a new pc for 40k so im posting in this post only

his minimum requirements

cpu:core 2 duo
memory :512 mb ddr2
dvd writer
160 gb sata II hard disk
he already owns windows xp so the pc should be without the os
onboard graphics would do as he'll not play games
will x3000 gma be possible(i.e g965 chipset) in this config
and the last & the most imp thing he wants a BRANDED PC
cuz the last time he had a bad experience with an assembeled one
so plz suggest & also provide a link to the branded pc's website

@codename_romeo : My friend said that he got a Comp with C2D config for 34000... Also in many of the user post in this forum about the config help, i hav seen replies with c2d procys for 25k n 35k... How???

MOBO : mobo with good onboard graphics card with future proofing
RAM : 1gb

80 gb hdd
cabinet 400 wats power supply
17" monitor

Main necessary are Dual Layer Processor, LCD Monitor, 512 RAM rest u decide as he asked from some engineer in his area he says 3.0 GHz dual layer processor, 512 RAM, 17" LCD Monitor and rest basic components in 25k
pls tell how much will it cost

as i think engineer will earn 1-3k so the actual cost should be 22-24k pls help

Thats around 30k. If you want LCD, you gotta pay more. This is the ideal config for this rate.
You can get a Samsung 17" CRT for 4800/-

Man that processor you have just chosen is outdated and inefficient in comparison to C2D. I urge you to go for the config I gave you. If you can afford 26k, then buy Samsung CRT instead of LCD. Thats all I can advice you.

If you can't afford 30k and still want LCD, then save up and buy! Don't compromise - its not worth it!

navino it is a good config, but if you want to play games at good settings, you better invest in a good graphics card to make a full use of your config.
And the RAM prices are higher atleast here in Mumbai, around 2700-2800 for 512MB RAM. Which brand of RAM are you buying? Also, buy a good quality SMPS, I had to remove my working SMPS when I bought a new graphics card, cos it wasn't able to pull the loads.
