If u r a newbie and don't know how to install blog on ur host but want to put ads then go for Blogspot. Wordpress doesn't allow to put ads if u wanna host on their server. But wordpress rocks for blogging.

What i basically wanna do is create my homepage...... and create a blog on it,upload pics.....a place on the NET which i can use to express myself ..... a place which i can call my own............

Then you would be better off getting a hosting plan somewhere and and install wordpress blog engine on it.
I have taken up hosting on zeeblo, they provide nice script that installs wordpress or many other blogging engines automatically you needn't know anything.
