hi there :),
i am also looking for a similar budget droid.

have narrowed down on SE Xperia Neo V, Ray & Xperia U (maybe Xperia P too..but am just waiting for a official price confirmation which is not going to happen before 23rd april :( )

Both(Ray and xperia U) phones have comparatively smaller screen size.

What are the other options, Galaxy R suits me but it is discontinued.

guys guys..what about LG Optimus 2X?

LGs promised to release ICS for this model in 2012 Q2 :D + this phone has a great community support :p (custom ROMs & MODs)

Specs are damn fine :p :D (has the nVidia TEGRA 2 !!!)
man..i gotta buy a cellphone soon otherwise all I would be left with is just juggling with model names/nos. :D :|

well if one finds it then its an awesome phone? is it? :-?

could someone plz tell me abt its screen quality?

NOW i am really confused whether to go with xperia u or this? (xperia u having 280ppi n lg optimus having only 233ppi :'( )

all i found out abt is that it has got a gr8 community support for custom rom/ mods etc.

yep fingers crossed for O2X :D

doubtful about the display being as good as the Xperia U but.. if it is at par with Xperia U (not necessearily need to be more than what Xperia U has to offer :D) then O2X will be my phone:)

Also, just an FYI: O2X has crappy software on it :( but LG has promised ICS in Q2 :) (hopefully if i get my hands on O2X then straightway i'll upgrade it to GB and from there to ICS :mrgreen:)

Desire S for 17.7k available at ebay
Incredible S for 18.5k available at ebay
And Sensation for 22-23k.
These are the best options right now.
Even LG O2X is good, but I think the above models are better and also 2X is very hard to find.

you said that you are interested in custom ROM, so with that you will get ICS before official release. 2X is an excellent phone for development and custom ROM usage...

The main advantage in 2X is that it has got a dual core proc but it lacks in terms of official updates and also Incredible S is a very good device and for 18-18.5k its just amazing.Far better than any in that budget

Yep. I am interested in Custom dev. of android BUT :D i don't want to void my warranty before atleast a month or two after experimenting with a actual droid first :twisted: (its mah first android handset! :) )

If you guys know of any dealers/retailers/wholesalers here in NCR/New Delhi/Noida plz do let me know of their contact details. Fulltoo interested in getting a O2X now. (TEGRA2 Making me do it :D)
