how to find out that whether the hard disks has bad sectors or not and what is the way to remove it

Any scandisk (media checkeg ndd or plain scandisk of windows) will give you the bad sectors. To repair is trickey some bad sector are there from the time the disk is made these cannot be handled the other bad sectors can (50% chance) removed by a low level format but the safest bet is moment you start getting bad sectors replace the disk(if not take an immediate backup of all data)

You can use the disk manager utility from seagate & use it to chesk the S.M.A.R.T Status of the HDD.It will display the same.Also use the Scandisk utility bundled with any version of windows except xp & do a thorough scan.
