backup problem with my new W710i

hi guys,

i bought this phone sonyerricson w710i recently,but the problem with this phone is that its not giving me the proper backup, i also went to the service center and they replaced the phone ,but the problem is remain same , pls guys suggest me something , what to do(one more thing i m not using the walkman facility and radio of this phone and its giving me backup of 12 t0 14 hrs in standby .

is the phone battery getting charged properly? also ensure that the phone is updated to the latest firmware. krazy owns w710i, so he might be able to tell you how much backup he gets. depending on that you may conclude whether ur phone is giving you proper backup or not. theoretical and practical values differ a lot!

I use Walkman and EDGE alot so my battery only lasts a day. But i don't really mind that much.

thnx guys krazy & infra for ur reply, hey krazy if u dont mind can i u something else related to the cell only, actually i m using amdX2 and xp 64bit but the s/w which i got with the cell is not working is there any way to access the phone pls help me out and did the firm ware means a lot in case of backup i upgraded it with latest firmware,

Do you mean SE PC Suite or Disc2Phone? I don't use either but instead the memory card slot on my lappy and bluetooth to transfer data, so i've no idea. About the firmware, i don't think firmware updates affect battery life that much. But still its better to have the latest firmware.
