audio problem in 98

hi guys

i have problem in 98

if i play any mp3 in mplayer(default player) then i got this message

"Cannot play back the audio stream: no audio hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding."

but my jet audio can play mp3 songs.

if i play video then also no sound detected even jet audio can not play video with sound.

i reinstalled drivers but no same ploblem remains

Most of the time just restart your system to get rid of the problem... Happened a lot with me....

So I just downloaded the latest drivers for my audio card from www.driverguide.com and uninstalled te older driver and installed the new one...

If you already have a new one then uninstall it and install it again...

Try this:-
1] Go to Start> Settings> Control Panel, and then open Multimedia.
2] Click the Audio tab, and then click the Advanced Properties button under Playback.
3] Move the Hardware acceleration slider to a notch closer to None in the Performance section.
4]Click OK, and exit from Control Panel, if a restart is asked, restart your PC.
