which is the best antivirus?
i installed nav2005 but it is very slow
so i installed zone alarm security suite .
is it good?
if there is already a thread on this mods please delete this thread

NAV 2005 is gud.. but try gettin PC-Cillin 2005.. its a gud one too.. and as for Zone alarm its da best free firewall but then i think u get a Firewall bundled in NAV2005.. use that.. i think its gud..

NOD32 is fastest I have tested.
KAV is also good but hogs system resources.
NAV is also good but same problem like KAV.

NAV 2005 will drain all the system resources and system becomes slow.
My personal choice is AVG 7.0

thanks alot for your help guys. i knew that there is lot of discussion on this. but i wanted a direct answer of which is the best. So i started this thread.
i bundled nav2005 and zone alarm firwall as bharathbala2003 suggested but was too heavy(i also hadanti spywares and system mechanic )

where can i find KAV??

what is NOD32?

i had avg7.0 Its true that it was light and could find viruses but was not able to delete them so i swiched to nav and then ZA security with antivirus

i have winXP p4 2.8 HT 256 RAM

s please help me to choose.

i always prefer getting scanned online & it doesnt take up ur system resources .....

Try panda & trendmicro for online scan if ur intrstd........

How do i get scanned online. wont it take too much of time?

dude, its the same amount of time 4 both i.e if u scan online& offline. The only difference is not somuch systm resources as offline & u dont need 2 install the software ......

Just key in a search for free online scanners & there ur.........

it takes same amount of time online or offline because my internet connection is NOT FREE.
well ZA antivirus comes with ZA security suite
