    I had got Ubuntu 6.06 installed on my PC I want to know that do I need any Antivirus on my PC. If no the are sure because many times in Digit I had heard that linux also has viruses

    Digit is just trying to gain more windows user. If you wish to, there's avast too.

    Absolutely no need at all. Once you start using linux for some time you will know why there is no need. The design on *nix based OS's is far better than Windows in that respect.
    Anti-viruses are mostly installed in Linux system, if it is used as a mail server connecting to windows client.
    Some good antiviruses in that case available under linux, if you still want to waste your computer resources on such unnecessary things, are amavis, clamav and f-prot, they are the ones available in my ubuntu repositories.
