Android mobile - suggest me some models

I am planning to buy my first android mobile. Budget is not a constraint. However I wish its below 25k. And am VFM conservative and dont want to shell out more money for subtle differences. In other words I am willing to shell out more only when its justified. I made my analysis and came up with three models, the moto defy, moto milestone and HTC desire. I already had a bad experience with samsung and doesn want to go for it. In the three models I finally zeroed in to buy Moto Defy. I just wish to know If I have missed any other good model in this price band. And I am slightly biased towards moto bcos my first mobil was a moto one and it never disappointed. And my priorities are,

1) It must serve its purpose as a mobile phone - in the sense it should have xcellent reception, cal loudness and cal clarity.
2) Music must be good. Not much concern with videos. I rarely watch.
3) atleast 2 days of battery with moderate usage
4) Camera gets the least importance
5) It must be an android phone
6) Should never get heated as at times I engage in conversations for hours..

I chose moto defy because I felt it satisfies all above and also a good VFM mobile at 18k (and am slightl biased towards moto as I said already..)
And I also blive that It wil get its android update by q2 of 2011.

The best one you can get inside 25k is HTC Desire. I wouldn't go for Moto with your budget, given their lack of updates, locked bootloader and very few service centres.

The better option is to wait for newer devices that are coming out in the next few weeks

samsung galaxy S II
LG Optimus Black, 3D
HTC Desire S
SE Neo, Play and Arc.

^^ None of those phones you mentioned would be available in India for less than 25k. (Maybe the SE phones will be priced under 25k, but the chance is low. SE phones are always overpriced.)

@OP

If you can wait, wait for the Nexus S & a few phones which were launched by HTC (Wildfire S). Otherwise, you can go for the Defy or Galaxy Ace. Also the new variant of Galaxy S (not the Galaxy S II) might be priced below 25k.

Do not trust Motorola on Froyo update. They have backed out many times earlier.

Also you will not get 2-days of battery charge with any Android phone (especially if it is from HTC)

Samsung has tremendously improved their quality. Your previous experience should not hamper your next purchase.

Good luck.

only SE Neo is possible. rest will easily cost 30k. if not more.

and about atleast 2 days battery backup. it should be at most 2 days battery backup that also under light or no use.

SE Neo will debut inside 20k and Pro will debut inside 25k. Also, there is a good chance that Arc will be at 25k mark as Play is coming out soon.

Even if they are priced at aroudn 28k mark, it's worth to up the budget and get newer devices than to pay 3k-4k less for 1-2yr old phones.

^^ Nah, I'm with Sam. I believe that none of them would be below 30k except for the Neo. Not because they have hardware of that price but because SE phones are always overpriced.

And SE phones should be the last choice for anyone given their previous track record.

 arc inside 25k? SE will ask a good premium (~28k, X10's price) just cause its slim, it got a arc design, Bravia engine & lastly cause its a Sony Xperia mobile (dual core mobiles may come cheap).

if Neo is priced at 18-20k its fine else maybe there will be some better choices. & then Pro maybe priced at 23-25k.

single core processor & slim. galaxy S II is even thinner with a better config. Sony should learn something from Samsung & LG other than just showcasing their Xperias with Kareena (& misleading peoples).

And SE phones should be the last choice for anyone given their previous track record.

this time there should be updates & also the mobile will ship with Gingerbread. so even without any update, it'll be a good buy. Ice Cream update should come eventually (for the Arc at the least). but then again what other choice left? maybe HTC Desire S (should be priced at 25k). OR Wildfire S @ 18k (estimated price).
