Hello Guyzzz,

My current PC config. is AMD 2400+, ASUS A7V8X-MX (around 2 yrs. old),Inno 3D Geforce 5200 G-Card, 512 MB 333 DDR RAM and 80 GB HDD.

I am ready to spend around Rs.15000 to upgrade my PC.
but I am totally confused ???
I mean Pls tell me that What should opt for =>
1. Should I sell my 5200 and buy a new 6600GT (8X) or
2. Should I sell my G-card, MOBO and CPU and upgrade to AMD 3000+ 64 and a socket 939 MOBO from Chip Mag. for Rs.6000-8000 without any G-Card.

Which will give me better Gaming Experience and better ALL Round Experience.

and also Which G-card brand should I opt for (Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS, Gainward, etc.) and give me their costs also.

Please reply soon as i have to buy these things before 24th of March.

Thank You !!!!

pci-e cards normally perform better than AGP

but its the other way round with 6600GT only

asus one at 13k is a good buy

go for it

heck with the games bundled.. u can check their official website for more info but i dun think tht wod help coz the games bundled are normally different

try getting the XFX 6600GT its cheap and performs equivalent to asus

Yes it does. Although the base card remains the same the clock speeds for the brands are different. And some of them bundle different softwares too.

I also have a AMD 2400+ and Nvidia 5200 card but my suggestion for you is that keep your RAM and go for a lower graphics card like Nvidia 5700 and a higher CPU because these high end graphics card need a lot of system at low resolutions.

he means to say upgrade ur CPU and ur GPU to a mid level one

tho the 5700 is a crap card .... IMO

i suggest what the others before chirayu have
upgrade ur GPU

as of now PCI-E has no real advantage over AGP8x
ull just be future proof with it thats all !

for gamin experience get the GPU like everyones being stressing
dun look at the package either like everyones said
and dun go for asus .. even tho im an asus fan ... im a mobo fan !!
the gpu's dun perform as well as some other companies u might see !!
id recommend the gigabyte !

i dun blive in upgrading the cpu

AMD 2400+, ASUS A7V8X-MX with a 6600GT wod be no bottleneck for the gfx card

more importantly u have abt 512 Mb RAM

u can play all the games released till date at good resolutions

and even the future games very well at medium levels

so just go in for the upgrade as i stated in the previous post

Ok Hes talking about not going in for the ASUS graphics card. Asus makes good mobos but their graphics card arent that good. For the graphics card go for the gigabyte and for mobo stick to ur ASUS one.

dude ASUS is primarily famous for its good quality motherboards

they are the best no doubts abt it

when it comes to gfx cards the ASUS name is still good but the only prob with ASUS gfx cards is tht they are priced a lil high but have good build quality

instead wht ppl do it buy a gfx car of same gpu from other manufacturers like XFX, Gigabyte,MSI, Mora  etc..

ASUS 6600GT wod be around 15k and the XFX one wod be 12k

go for any of these depending on wht u can afford

both are very good and give equivalent results

XFX 6600GT is a good buy too

GIGABYTE 6600GT availability is an issue so stick to XFX or ASUS :)

Dump the fx and get the 6600GT. Get xfx as the last preference. Even with the rev2 cooler the xfx 6600GT heats quite a lot (arnd 70-80 degrees) while gaming. Order of preference: Gainward, Ledtek, gigabyte,MSI ,XFX
