    Is there any program which would act as an alarm clock, and start up the PC at a designated time, and thereafter give some kind of audio alarm to wake up someone? (considering that the PC is placed on a table by the bedside)
    Donno if this is a very stupid kinda question...:cry:
    Thanks n regards

    All freeware PC Alarm

    Perfect Alarm Clock

    Perfect Alarm Clock is a free software that enables you to set infinite number of alarms, triggering on a one time, daily, or weekly basis. Perfect Alarm Clock not only plays any audio file you specify (mp3, wma, etc), but can also be used as a scheduler, to launch any application at a specified time. The program's user-friendly interface makes the operation very easy. Setting an alarm is as easy as selecting a file to play, selecting the alarm type and time, adding remarks (optional), and adding the alarm to the alarms list. You can further test each alarm item, e.g., to adjust the speaker volume. Perfect Alarm Clock minimizes to tray and runs in the background, occupying no space on your desktop, and using minimal system resources (0% cpu usage and only about 1MB memory usage).

    ==================

    Talking Alarm Clock

    This program lets your computer remind you of important dates and events. It uses Microsoft® Agent to show a talking animated alarm. The alarm can also play any sound you choose and includes a handy snooze button. An alarm can be set to go off once, daily, weekly, monthly or annually, with very flexible scheduling. Each alarm can have multiple schedules. An icon in the Windows system tray gives quick access to the alarm clock. The New Alarm Wizard makes adding an alarm fast and easy. Talking Alarm Clock's windows are easy on the eye, with soft colors and gentle transitions. There's also help balloon that shows a full explanation of each part of the Alarm Clock window.

    ya... a mobile definitely works very well... so was just wondering if the same feature (the alarm works even if the mobile is switched off) is available on a comp. coz both have inbuilt clocks.

    My colleague is a techie and loves gadgets but he is always late for work as the shift timing does not suit him. Is there an alarm clock that has interesting features that I can buy for him that would suit the different needs of people?
