Airtel GPRS Mobile Office changes

I'm a lifetime prepaid Airtel mobile costumer in kolkata & want to subscribe Mobile office gprs service,i had heard that it costed 249 a month & option is availible to activate it for a single day, but when i called up at customer care they told that it's 498 a month & also there is no option to activate it for a day.
Anone using Mobile office in kolkata, can you please confirm that?? how is the speed do i really get even 5-6 Kbps

in bangalore there certainly is for 19 RS for 1 day validity 24 hrs...well i think now it is 21 rs...
not sure if 19 or 21 coz my hostel frnds use it and not me but am sure it is like this

airtel has different plans for different states like in chennai you can get a connection at 375 (i guess) a month or 20 bucks day in hyderabad you got a 500 p.m connection only.
