Advice needed for buying a laptop

Hi,

I am looking to buy a new laptop and following are my requirements:

Budget - Rs.35000 (+/- 3K)
Use of Lappy - Will mainly use MS-Office & Internet on it. Watching movies, listening to songs, and occassionally playing games (not very latest ones, but shud support at least those released till 2007). Basically all the general things we do on our PC.

Screen size - I am thinking of 15", rest u guys suggest.
RAM & HDD - Ram 3 GB at least, HDD - 300 GB or more

Processor - Here is where m confused. I am not too sure what major advantage an Intel I5 has over I3, but I know that an I5 will cost around 4k-5k more than I3, so u guys suggest on this please, considering my budget and usage.

Weight - Again not very sure of the general laptop weights (havent worked too much with lappies), but I dont want it to be very heavy, coz m doing an MBA and will be carrying it to college with me very often. So weight shud b slightly less.

Battery backup - It shud run for at least 4 hrs without requiring a recharge.

Brands under consideration - Dell (People tell me this is most relieable, but I have also found it a bit costly), ACER (Have heard it gives value for money, and its prices are within my range but m skeptical about its durability, so u guys suggest plz), HP, Sony.

I am situated in Mumbai and thinking of purchasing from Croma, Vijay Sales or E-Zone. Will b buying in next 1-2 days, so please advise asap. Thanks!

********UPDATE***********

I have checked out a few stores today and found the following 2 configs interesting:

ACER Aspire 5745 - I3
----------------
Intel Core I3 - 380M, 15.6" screen
2.53 Ghz, Ram - 3gb ddr3,
500 GB Hard drive, 1 GB Nvidia graphics card

Price = 36000

ACER Aspire 5745 - I5
----------------
Intel Core I5, 15.6" screen
2.53 Ghz, Ram - 3gb ddr3,
500 GB Hard drive, No graphics card

Price = 37000

Do u guys think the above prices are fine, or are they high for this config?
Also will purchasing an I3 over I5 make any major difference in terms of performance?

Take a loot at these:

Inspiron 15R Laptop Details | Dell India
Dell's New Inspiron 14R Laptop with Wireless Display Options | Dell India
Inspiron M501R Laptop Details | Dell India

The first one has i3 but 15.6" Screen
The second one consists of i5 but with 14" Screen
The last one has Phenom II Tri-Core with 15.6" Screen

All of them has 3GB DDR3 RAM and 320GB HDD.

Also as far my opinion Dell's A.S.S. is much better than that of Acer and build quality too.

And Dell provides warranty over whole world.

The i5 processors have turbo boost which is not present in i3 processor. Turbo boost is a technology from Intel , you can overclock your pc i.e. make it fast by adjusting processors speed.

For laptop, i think Dell gives more value for money then any other brand simply because it gives one year Complete Cover Accidental Damage Protection plus you can extend this to 2 or 3 years. Just go to the link provided by krishnandu.sarkar & customize it to suit your requirements.
