    hi

    i am on a network where lots of people want to copy files from me . but i am scared that they may delete some as i have to give them the admin passw (i used to give them the guest pass and had shared my drives but whenever someone logs in as guest now, anyone and anytime, it ALWAYS gives error)...is there a way that they can access my comp thru admin passw , i.e. basically access $ shares but not be able to delete any files ??

    pls help

    thx ..

    I don't think that's possible. Because admin is supposed to have all rights to himself, so I guess you'll have to sort out the problem with the guest account. Why don't you post that problem here, you might get a solution to that problem. And it will be safer too.

    @CyCo ..
    instead find the reason for why that error comes ..
    passw protected guest account sharing is safest way to share
    or else .. create a new account with guest rights ... and give it's password
