acual video is not playing

I downloaded a TV serial (How i met your mother) of size ~ 175MB. Its format is WMV.
When i try to play the video, it plays video for only 17 seconds and says "you need to download MovieXPlayer from ddl.moviexplayer.com to play the video".

MovieX player is a paid software on that website.

How can i play this video??

WMV will be playable using windows media player. Did you try? if yes, what was the result?

Accord to the message, I believe, the genuinity of the video file shuld be verified.

Where did you get the message? on the video or windows? I am sure, windows wouldn suggest which player to download and play. Clarify!!!

The Show you have downloaded is not genuine, It's a fake one which plays for 17 Secs or thereabouts and asks you to buy some software to play the video fully. This often happens in torrent sites.

Leave that, its a fake one anyway
