a strange development

i tried to uninstall both sound and video drivers and install video driver first and then sound driver (it is soundmax driver) but the problem remains...
However i SAW one change, when i uninstall Sound driver only and play any video file, it PLAYS normal RATE though without sound, but the problem of PLAYBACK DISAPPEARS, and also the System Hanging when PAUSED also GOES away, but after installing
SOUNDMAX driver, PROBLEM REAPPEARS.

it there any explaintion?

try installing the latest drivers
ur problem might be solved

check ur directx

go for the latest directx 9.0c

and install the drivers again

for checkin directx go to run and type dxdiag
