1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming, messing with after effects (beginner stuff), watching hd movies, and the internet

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50k (can extend by 2k only if it makes a huge difference)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Not currently, but definitely in the future

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Buying everything, even speakers and monitor. Except the mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: In 2 weeks

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No, but I'll build it myself

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Lucknow, buying online (local stores' shopkeepers are arseholes)

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: This is my current configuration:

FX 6300 @ Rs. 7599
ASRock 970 Extreme3 @ Rs. 6200
Sapphire 7850 2GB Dual Fan @ Rs. 14000
1 TB SATA @ 4000
Seasonic Eco 600 600W @ Rs. 4300
Dell S2240L @ Rs. 9352
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB x 1 @ Rs. 2250
NZXT Source Elite 210 @ Rs. 2600
Any Speakers @ Rs. 2000
Any optical drive @ Rs. 1000

Total = 53301

I'm still going over the budget and this is not the final build. I want to keep it under 52k.

I've decided to create a new thread because the configuration in my last thread was going over the budget after adding the price from the online stores and then adding a speaker (My bad). Although Cilus recommended a really good config.

Can you please also link the stores where you got the prices from? Last time check I checked the price, almost all the products costed more than the prices mentioned.

I'm thinking of opting for NZXT Source Elite 210 for a 100 bucks more. I'm also thinking of going for the alternate route, better gpu, mediocre cpu. Btw, is that RAM good? I was recommended Kingston HyperX Blu last time which costs only 300 bucks more.

That was a very good configuration but now it has become 2k more, after adding the prices from the site you mentioned.

@harshilsharma63: Where have quoted those prices from? Is it local prices?

I'm already over the budget with my current configuration @ 53k. Is 650ti better than 7850 2 GB?

Awesome.

Btw, you're talking about the 7850 2GB Dual fan version there, right? This page says otherwise.

I quoted the prices from mdcomputers.in, which of course increased (I checked prices 4 days ago). get FX 6300 instead and go for Asus HD7870.

Settle with basic Philips headphones for now and save up for speakers. Core parts are more important than including a speaker.
Hmm, I already have a decent set of headphones worth 3.5k. I guess you're right, but best I can do is delay the speakers by few weeks. But again, which one would you recommend?

Sorry, don't know much about audio gear. What config have you decided to buy?

> Get Seasonic S12II 520W instead of ECO 600.

> Go with WD HDD instead of Seagate; WD's A.S.S. is much better.

> For optical drive, get an Asus.
