    Hi

I have installed Knoppix 5.0.1 from it's live CD distribution. What I need to know is, is there any 3D desktop environment like XGL for Knoppix? Where can I get it and how to install it?

Please help me if you know anything about this.....

    Aditya

XGL and AIGLX can be installed on knoppix too. I guess the ubuntu method will go for knoppix too, with a bit of changes. Since both are debian based distros.

@Aditya.shevade, You definitely need atleast 512 MB RAM with a good NVidia GC for
getting those Beryl/Compiz effects to work!! Does your System meets those requirements??

Yeah if you cant afford to lag your machine with beryl/compiz, you could go with 3D-Desktop, have fun.
