R9 5950X might be coming out now (event on 8th of this month), but not Threadripper. That should be out next year. Considering rumoured performance uplifts, new R9 5950X might perform halfway between older R9 3950X & Threadripper 3960X for same price as 3950X..

For GPU, wait for RTX 3080 supply issues to sort out, its about 30% or so better than 2080Ti for a cheaper price (71k). Save money here& there and maybe get 3970X for 1.7 lakhs?

Your TX850 should work fine.

CPU cooler - I'm pretty sure it doesn't support new CPUs, so maybe needs new brackets or something to make it work (not much idea about AIOs). Otherwise 280mm AIOs should be good, like Corsair H115i or NZXT X62.

SSD - 970 Evo plus performs close to 970 pro at cheaper price (970 evo itself is expensive). I think 970 Pro is MLC vs TLC of evo. For better performance, a PCIe 4.0 SSD performs better than 970 pro which is limited to PCIe 3.0 as well has higher endurance (TBW). Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 SSD is a good one & costs 19k. Currently only AMD supports PCIe 4.0 SSDs.

Lian li lancool II mesh is a good premium case, look into it maybe.

Considering your rig, your monitor is pretty basic, no high-end stuff like 4K resolution. BenQ PD2700U (40k) is a good professional monitor, lacks freesync/gsync for gaming. For gaming, a freesync monitor like LG 27UK650 is good, used to cost 30k.

Again, I consider value for money aspect a lot & your budget throws that out of the window.

CPU - AMD TR 3970X - 171.5k

Mobo - Gigabyte TRX40 Aorus Pro - 40.5k

Cooler - Corsair H115i 280mm - 12k

RAM - 4x32GB DDR4 3200MHz - 50k (12.5k ea)

GPU - Asus/MSI RTX 3080 - 75k

M.2 SSD - Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 1TB x2 - 37k

PSU - Corsair HX1000 - 17k

Cabinet - CM MasterBox H500 ATX - 10k (can vary)

Total - 413k

Check primeabgb, mdcomputers, theitdepot, vedant computers, onlyssd (online stores) for PC parts at a good price. Some parts have such low prices on amazon during sales as well.

Yeah, 3970X is expensive. AMD's event is today, see their claim tonight. 5950X on AM4 will be a much better value for money for maybe barely 10% inferior performance at just 75k or so.

Most AIOs need a 3rd party bracket for TR4, not many buy such CPUs, esp in India. So might have to hunt a bit. For AIOs, Corsair & NZXT makes the best ones. Check reviews of the CM ones should be fine. Deepcool is also a reputed brand.

For case, many high-end options don't come to India. Check that CM H500 I mentioned, or TD500 mesh or Corsair 4000D Airflow are other options. Make sure its an ATX case with a meshed front for better airflow. More number of preinstalled fans help.

I am having this config in mind for now.. Help me out guys.. Is this good? or please suggest if you have a better config in mind..

One of the online websites, which assembles PC, gave me this quotation below. Is it good or are they charging more?

This is a great gaming computer
I liked it very much

Mouse - Razer Viper or Viper Mini, maybe Ultimate (check them out, costs about 5k, 4k & 10k respectively)

UPS - Maybe use inverter at home, not much idea. I don't think 1kVA ones will suffice, so look for 1.5kVA at least.

Mousepad - Something like this will suffice but you can go for similar-sized ones from bigger brands:

Hi @Viswanathan , I have read good reviews about the mouse but I don't know how much shipping charges they apply. I found these links on reddit on indianGaming sub-reddit.

If you can get your chair from Ikea, I will personally vouch for the Markus. I used one for two years while I was in Canada and it is hands down the best chair I have ever used at that price point.

Isnt 3950X a better choice than 3960X ? You can spend the money on a proper monitor (or dual monitors)..
