I think Dr. divX encoding is not that great, my opinion use a different tool for encoding, like AutoGK www.autogk.me.uk its free, it has a selection of encoders to chose from and it does the calculations better...give it a try ! i use it mainly for backing up my DVD collection ...very nicely...
