don't worry. you can use your 5 for the next 3 years. it will get software updates for at least 3 years. look how the iPhone 4 is still relevant even after 3 years. just because Apple has stopped producing it does not mean they will stop supporting it.
It depends on what your requirement is.. Iphone 4 will play most of the casual fluidly.. but if you want to play games like dead trigger, there are much better androids with bigger screen and better processor/gpu.. if you are just a casual user who plays few arcade games, surfs web, listens to...
android (any new OS) can be tricky for people who don't have interest, time to learn the new OS. but IMO its easier to navigate and use than iOS once u get used to it. windows 7 launcher is perfect for your grandfather. another one is big launcher.. widgets are useful but confusing for many...
I would suggest an android over a windows phone.. Why invest in a platform which is in its infancy when u can get a better device with a much matured os?? Android has come a long way and its awesome if the hardware is up to the mark (which is the case with atrix 2).
Even though nexus s is few years old, its hardware is still way better than that of both xperia j and galaxy s duos.. You get a way better hardware running almost latest jelly bean with a huge dev support.. Nexus s is the way to go if you are stuck between the 3 phones.. Both xperia j and galaxy...
If money is not the deciding factor then go with iPad.. the sheer number of apps, great battery life and top notch performance is enough to recommend it over nexus 10.. while the nexus is no slouch,*as with other android devices, it starts lagging as you install more application on it..
Its absolutelt possible to restore all your apps and data with titanium backup.. but you have to be rooted to use it...
Root your phone first, download titanium backup from play store and backup all yoir apps with data
Nokia 5310:
This one gave me a hard time initially with the phone rebooting every now and then.. a software update fixed the issue after few months.
Good: its still in use after 5 years.. sound quality is good..
Bad: software
Galaxy s:
Even after 8-10 drops in hard floor, drop from motor bike...
I don't agree. Sound quality of mobile phones today can rival any high end dap. Its a mistake to think that just because a product does just one thing it will always be better than a multipurpose product. After all the only thing that makes a difference in sound quality is just a small chip.
My suggestion will be to take a look at nexus 7 before u buy an ipad.. its an excellent tablet which performs az fluidly as ipad.. and i say this having used both the tablets.. it's much lighter and comfortable to use and portable than ipad.. you'll carry it outside more often than ipad.. if...
I dont understand why people gamble on a developning platform when there are many cheal phones available that runs a proven and mature platform and is equally powerful
That is pure ignorance.. jelly bean isn't hyped as it should be.. if u had used jelly bean device I'm sure you wouldnt say that.. android was catching upto ios till ics but jelly bean is one step ahead of ios.. no more do you have to compromise performance for customization.. it runs extremely...
Xperia arc has great .. it locks the location Fast even without cellular connection. Arc s should also have the same gps.. so that might be a good deal for you if gps is your preference
That's a killer deal. Captivate is galaxy S with better design. There is awesome dev support for that phone and the phone is still powerful to handle almost all the apps and tasks.
Having used 3gs 6 months ago, galaxy s 1 year ago and atrix 4g now.. I can say that 3gs is just not worth that much money. Firstly the display is very poor compared to what you can get for the same price, there are plenty of new apps that does not work properly on 3gs. Android was laggy before...
I think it's better to wait for the nexus 7. You can use it for at least 18-24 months without worrying about updates. Being a nexus tablet it will also have tremendous dev support.
absolutely. If you want to buy a phone with that specs from a major manufacturer, you'll having to pay double. Update might be an issue, but you don't have a guarantee of update for the phone of that price even from a major manufacturer.
Not at all... If you have a good enough cell phone buy a tablet.. if you don't, sell your cell phone and with that money + the money you are planning to spend on ipod, get a high end phone. Ipod touch is not worth that much money. there are better phones that cost similar or less that are better...
